Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the barriers to green consumption faced by Brazilian consumers. For this, a descriptive research with a quantitative approach was carried out from a survey, which used the framework developed by Gleim et al. (2013) for the investigation of barriers to green consumption. Through the results obtained from the 450 respondents, the need to adjust the research instrument to the context studied was identified, in addition to verifying that the main barriers faced by the investigated sample were the lack of knowledge and the low availability of these products in the Marketplace. For future studies, it is suggested to expand the research to other contexts, as well as the use of other methodological approaches.
