RELAÇÕES DE TRABALHO DE MIGRANTES HAITIANOS EM TERRITÓRIO BRASILEIRO

Authors

Abstract

This article aimed to describe the labor relations of migrants who came to Brazil, specifically to the South region. Therefore, a descriptive qualitative research was carried out, applying semi-structured interviews to Brazilian workers and to Haitian workers linked to a slaughterhouse located in the Southwest region of the state of Paraná. The reports were analyzed using the content analysis technique. The results indicated incompatibility between professional practice and the migrants' training area. It was also possible to identify the lack of professional recognition, generating discontent among migrant workers. It was found that Haitian workers go through several challenges, among which is the linguistic factor. This makes it impossible to weave socialization relationships at work, since understanding language elucidates the different meanings generated by subjects in the light of their context. Therefore, it is indicated that companies develop policies of valorization and professional growth for migrant workers.
