Resumo

O crescimento das Empresas B tem despertado o interesse de pesquisadores por seu crescimento exponencial nos últimos anos. O objetivo do estudo foi caracterizar o modelo de negócio de impacto das empresas B. Tratou-se de uma pesquisa descritiva e documental das organizações híbridas certificadas como Empresas B em toda a América Latina e Caribe. Os resultados sugerem que as Empresas B buscam lucros que lhes permitam criar resultados sociais e/ou ambientais positivos. O sucesso não é medido pela maximização dos lucros para proprietários e acionistas, mas pelos impactos socioambientais positivos que as empresas podem causar nos ambientes em que estão inseridas.
