Plataformas Digitais e Oportunidades de Internacionalização Acelerada

Uma Análise de Startups Brasileiras

Resumen

Objetivo: investigar os elementos indutores ou facilitadores de internacionalização acelerada para startups brasileiras que operam por meio de plataformas digitais.

Proposta: contribuir com o entendimento sobre o processo de internacionalização de startups brasileiras, que correspondem ao fenômeno das born digitals.

Abordagem teórica: baseia-se em dois tópicos principais, ou seja, (1) produtos e plataformas digitais e (2) no fenômeno da internacionalização acelerada desenvolvida por empresas com foco na tecnologia.

Provocação: como as plataformas digitais podem se constituir em oportunidades de internacionalização acelerada para startups brasileiras?

Método: baseado na técnica de estudo de casos múltiplos, três startups de diferentes setores da economia e de diferentes Estados do Brasil foram analisadas: a Edtech, de Caxias do Sul (RS), do setor de educação; a Retailtech, de Belo Horizonte (MG), do setor de varejo; e a Traveltech, de São Paulo (SP), do setor de serviços de viagens.

Resultados: a análise dos casos revela que as plataformas digitais fornecem um ambiente com inúmeras oportunidades e desempenham um papel fundamental no processo de internacionalização de startups de alta tecnologia.

Conclusões: as plataformas digitais têm se apresentado como importante lócus para o desenvolvimento de novos negócios, bem como oportunizam a internacionalização acelerada de empresas brasileiras ainda em seus estágios iniciais de mercado.
