REVISTA MERITUM, ISSN 2238-6939 and 1980-2072, journal of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Law (PPGD) at FUMEC University, hosted at the link: http://revista.fumec.br/index.php/meritum/index , with the mission of being an effective instrument for the dissemination of scientific works developed in Brazil and abroad, in line with the research lines "Private Autonomy, Regulation and Strategy" and "Public Sphere, Legitimacy and Control", with the Qualis-Capes B1 makes public the Notice to call national and international works.

 

1 ABOUT THE THEME OF THE DOSSIER

Revista Meritum invites researchers to submit unpublished articles on issues involving the PROCESS AND CONSTITUTIONAL LAW.

It is intended, therefore, that the “Thematic Dossier” pays special tribute to Professor Dr. José Alfredo de Oliveira Baracho who, in Brazil, was a precursor of the study of the constitutional model of the process that, in 1984, published the pioneer work " Constitutional Process".

José Alfredo de Oliveira Baracho was born in 1928 and died in 2007, he was Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Law at UFMG (Doctorate and Masters). Full Professor at UFMG. Full Professor and General Theory of the State, Constitutional Law and Political Law. Doctor of Law. Member of the Brazilian Academy of Legal Letters. Pontes de Miranda Award, for the book "Theory General of Federalism". First President of CONPEDI - National Council for Research and Graduate Studies in Law. Also author of several articles and works fundamental to the study of Law.

In order to contribute to a better understanding of this phenomenon, this Dossier will accept the submission of original articles that examine the existing relationships between procedural law, fundamental law and constitutional process.

Articles that present results of empirical and theoretical-methodological investigations on the subject will be accepted.

The submission of papers dealing with the following questions (or others with a similar theme) is encouraged:

1 Constitution and process: due legal process and constitutional due process;

2 The constitutional model and the general theory of Law and Process;

3 Constitutional Rights and Guarantees;

4 Nature and category of procedural principles included in the Constitution;

5 The perspectives of a general theory of the constitutional process in comparative law;

6 General theory of citizenship: the fullness of citizenship and constitutional and procedural guarantees.

 

2 CRITERIA FOR DOSSIER SUBMISSION:

2.1 The articles must meet the specific theme determined by the Editorial Committee, presented in item 1 of this notice;

2.2 As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify the submission's compliance with all items listed in the Submissions tab on the MERITUM Magazine page: http://revista.fumec.br/index.php/meritum/about/submissions ;

2.3 Submissions that do not comply with the rules will be rejected and returned to the authors;

2.4 The authors proposing the dossier must register in the MERITUM Magazine system http://revista.fumec.br/index.php/meritum/user/register  for article submission and subsequent access, through login and password, with the objective of following the ongoing editorial process.

 

3 CALENDAR:

3.1 Publication of the Notice: 12/15/2021;

3.2 Dossier Submission Period: 01/01/2022 to 04/30/2022;

3.3 Submission Evaluation Period: 05/01/2022 to 07/31/2022;

3.4 Publication: 09/2022.

 

4 OF THE SELECTION CRITERIA FOR SUBMISSIONS AND DISCLOSURE OF RESULTS. FOR THE SELECTION OF ARTICLES, THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA WILL BE OBSERVED:

4.1 Adequacy to the structure and form criteria, established in item 2 of this notice;

4.2 Articles selected for publication must be unpublished;

4.3 The first evaluation phase (“screening”) about the relevance of the content of the article to compose the dossier is the responsibility of the Editorial Committee;

4.4 In the next evaluation phase, the selected articles will be sent by the Editorial Committee for evaluation by external reviewers. Article analysis will follow anonymity and blind peer review, as provided for in the “Privacy Policy” of Revista Meritum;

4.5 Submissions that do not meet the established criteria and after the deadline will be disregarded in the dossier, and may be sent for submission in the Continuous Flow Notice of the Meritum Magazine, according to the authors' interest.

 

5 OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROPONENTS AND THE EDITORIAL COMMITTEE:

5.1 It is up to the authors of the article and the Editorial Committee to follow the rules of the “Guidelines for Authors”; they must also respect the rules of the “Privacy Policy” and the “Ethics of publication” of the journal and guarantee the textual structure of the articles in the dossier as well as the adherence and relevance of the reflection to the proposed theme.

5.2 If the Editorial Committee detects non-compliance with any of the rules provided for, the authors will be notified and, if the necessary adjustment to the Journal's rules is not met, the necessary procedures and referrals will be the responsibility of the Editorial Committee;

5.3 Any negligence of the rules of the items above may result in the non-publication of the article;

5.4 The final decision on publication or not will always be made by the Editorial Committee.
