LABOR VULNERABILITY AND THE FIRST RESCUE OF DOMESTIC SLAVE LABOR IN MANAUS/AM

Abstract

This article proposes to present a social legal analysis of the labor vulnerability of domestic slave labor in contemporary times. Using as a case, the first rescue of domestic slave labor in the city of Manaus/AM. Thus, the present research has as its general objective to analyze the processes of subjectivation that give rise to domestic slave labor in the face of the legal labor scenario of domestic work. As a question-problem, we sought to answer to what extent labor vulnerability is considered when the rules and criteria in the relationship between employer and domestic worker are defined in a domestic environment and according to the consent of the one who employs? To this end, the study is amusing the division of labor into three chapters that are revealed in the specific objectives of the work, namely: Discuss the structural composition of the attribution of domestic work to women, going through the legislative direction of the themes of domestic work and work in conditions analogous to slavery. Next, it is proposed to address the dimensions of the physical and social risks of the victim of domestic slave labor. Finally, it makes a case study of the first case of rescue of domestic slave labor in the city of Manaus/AM. The elective methodology in this research referred to a qualitative study, involving legal-social reflexivity. Bibliographic surveys and legal provisions in the protection of domestic workers were carried out, with cross-cutting research proposals and dialogues between law and psychology. It is affirmed that the context of domestic slave labor is inferred from a labor context marked by the absence of structure and devaluation of human labor, compromising the configuration and what belongs to the worker's identity, accentuating the modes of suffering in relation to work. In addition to the intense objection of precariousness, potentiating traumas as a result of violence and deprivation of freedom.
